A collection of images printed on beach towels uses Google Street View as primarily research subject. The screenshots are appropriate as such, and printed without any alteration. The only possibility of decision (360 degrees of horizontal movement and 290 degrees of vertical movement) is the framing, composition is the only aspect connects my operation with the traditional photographic practice. The choosing of Miami where I live and work since 2004, as location, is precisely to avoid misinterpretation, of using GSI to get to places that I never physically been. Reaffirming the purpose of working with this alternate reality, pre-documented by Google as a container of my approach. Photography as a medium faces a faster technological evolution than its absorbents and an intense crossing with other disciplines and techniques. The photographic act is undergoing a general rethinking in its concept, importance and application. This situation is what leads me to question the nature and boundaries of photography through this series.
